Harbour has always risen to the challenge of creating a bridge into the future where we can grow and adapt to industry change while realizing all the demands that RIAs and broker dealers face. To continue to accomplish our vision, we must create a solid foundation through strong leadership that will serve us well for decades to come.
First, I would like to announce that on January 1, 2020 Aaron Hager will be promoted to the role of President of the firm. The last time I assigned this position I was sitting at my kitchen table when I took the role of President nearly 33 years ago. This is extremely exciting for me personally and professionally.
I have been working on a succession plan with Aaron and Rhonda for over two years. I am extremely excited and confident that Aaron will move us forward and help us accomplish our goals. He is uniquely qualified for this position with his experience, logical thinking, excellent business philosophy and the great relationships he has developed with advisors and staff.
Adding to the strength of our leadership team, Rhonda will continue to serve as the Chief Operating Officer and will ascend to Senior Vice President on January 1st. Rhonda has been a part of Harbour’s management teams for over 23 years. Her no-nonsense approach and ability to grow and adapt to industry change plus her relationships with advisors and staff is a natural for this position. Additional changes to further strengthen our senior management team will continue to be announced in short time.
I will continue to assume my role as CEO and Chairman and look forward to working with all of you and our Senior Management team from a new vantage point. I have gone to great lengths to ensure the future of an independent Harbour that can endure for decades to come. Harbour will maintain its high standards for our officers and staff to serve you, our advisors. An additional, and yet important part of my plan is to impact Harbour’s gifting to non-profit charitable organizations to make a difference in people’s lives.
